Based at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Megantara Air is an Indonesian cargo carrier that began operations in May 2007. The Airline provides charter cargo services and regular scheduled flights connecting Indonesia and Singapore.
The Indonesian Civil Aviation Authority classifies Megantara Air as a Category 2 airline regarding safety standards.
The acquisition of projects and the expansion into the air transport market in the Papua region are a continuation of the business ventures initiated by Sofyan Danu Siswantoro in 2011.
Operating under the name Megantara, the business originally chartered Boeing 737-300 aircraft from Cardig Air and Tri MG Air, as well as Boeing 737-200s from RPX Airlines.
A graduate of Aeronautical Engineering from ITB (Class of 1991), Sofyan Danu Siswantoro has dedicated his career to the aerospace industry. Having worked with various airlines, he has been recognized as one of the 100 most influential figures in Indonesian aviation."
